Generisches Framework Studi-App

Abstract

The project "Generic Framework Students' App" combines the efforts of more than 30 universities from all over Germany. Common goal is to develop a standardized, adjustable service-bus middleware together with a flexible and scalable student app prototype for up-to-date mobile platform operating systems like IOS or Android. The concept includes different strategies for collaborations in the development process, community building, and a system of distributed expert groups to achieve cooperate project tasks and meet requirements. Data and metadata of typical IT-based service platforms will be defined and implemented in a unique new student-app standard format called Viadrina Core. The standard format ensures that different apps can later be connected to the middleware, which applies to apps generated within the scope of this project and to external university apps. Project management is carried out by the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and at the Technical University Berlin. The roadmap provides a first stable version of app and middleware by September 2015.
