Abstract

If teacher training at the beginning of the 21th century is considered to be more than a preparation for the teaching profession, if it is regarded as a process of lifelong learning in which collaboration between preservice and inservice teachers and between institutions plays an important role, the implementation of digital media opens up new possibilities concerning cooperative learning and the access and use of teaching materials. This article deals with opportunities, perspectives, and challenges of blended learning in teacher training using the example of an interdisciplinary project whose center is music education and in which the exchange between persons in different training periods of teacher education and lifelong learning are of high importance. It is an insight in the way of linking online offerings with classroom sessions and a glimpse of first results of the project evaluation. Presented are partial results of an explorative study on the importance of collaborations und networking between training phases, in which among other things the acceptance and the relevance of the e-learning offer is a topic to explore.
